Ah, you got it completely backwards. Social validation not only from girlfriends (those are crappy girlfriends though), but the men around them, the society, majority from their family - all that is many times worse in second- and third-world countries. I’m from one, and I’ve been to many, so I know what I’m taking about.

You get extra points for lack of education regarding mental health too. Even in outside of first world countries, more and more people get educated on this topic and take it seriously. So good job for being so far behind.
