As a Ukrainian immigrant who moved here a long time ago, I surely get what you're saying. Even non-immigrants often have families in less fortunate countries that need financial assistance. Not to mention, getting a bride means becoming her sponsor for how long, 5-10 years? It's a lot of money and commitment. I mean, there are genuine men who simply met someone while overseas, and I hope their marriages work out. It's the intention that matters the most. Similarly, it's different when a man stumbles onto a woman who's significantly younger than him, and when a man deliberately seeks younger women with bad intentions.

Agreed regarding being rich. Even putting together immigration documents, hiring an immigration lawyer and jumping through the hoops cost a lot of money.
