As a woman, it upsets me to read about men feeling lonely. Everyone deserves to be loved, happy, and have a good partner. But, I suppose, it's harder for men, as they were told from a young age to hide their emotions. If you add the influence of toxic musculinity, the pictures becomes even worse.
I, personally, want to be in a relationship not because of the pressure and social expectations, but because I'm a happy person (most of the time), and I want to share my happiness with someone. I believe partnership is about supporting each other, trust one another with feelings and emotions, be there for your partner, and sometimes even talk about the most vulnurable and scary things. Men deserve to have their voices and emotions heard, so do women.
I hope the men interviewed in this article find good partners. Life is long. If you haven't found someone nice, there's always tomorrow.
