Ghetto fabulous, what a perfect term! Yes, unfortunately, I've seen and met many people from less fortunate countries who would behave in such a way. I personally know at least a few who would barely eat for 6 months yet save up for a used iPhone. Similarly, in the US and Canada, we have a culture of living in debt while driving new cars and paying $600-$1,000/month for those. I despise this style of living.
Of course, I understand that not every man wants a "slave". Sadly, there is a trend of men getting angrier and more upset about not being able to score a date or get into a relationship. Plus, the dating apps make it worse. Not to mention, not everyone has good social skills, which got worse thanks to the pandemic. As a result, I see and read more stories about incels and incel-adjacent groups of men who follow pseudo-gurus like Andrew Tate. And if you add the somewhat conservative upbringing and expectation of traditional values (ugh, what a manipulative concept), the picture isn't great. To be fair, this applies to a number of men from my own culture, whom I avoid like a plague. But considering that half of the United States is fairly religious and conservative, I'm afraid such worldviews aren't rare.
There's nothing wrong about seeing women from other countries or places. It's the intention that matters. One of the main traits of passport bros is despising women who don't want to serve and service them and to "submit" to them. I felt cringey typing the last phrase.
