I agree. As for a marriage test, I think women conduct informal tests while dating, haha.
Oh yes! There were so many red flags:
- Lack of maturity and emotional intelligence. This may not be apparent right away, but often it's obvious even on the first date.
- Shallowness and skewed priorities. No matter what, there are men who value money, looks, social status (translation: the way their 5 buddies see them, and they may not even like 4 of them anyway) and other superficial things.
- Reacting emotionally and angrily to something trivial. That's an automatic no for me.
- The biggest one that can be hard to observe is the guy avoiding emotional and personal questions, as well as not opening up about vulnerable topics. It, again, signals of a lack of maturity, but also means he may not be genuinely interested in a connection but only in the physical aspect. One of my exes was also a selfish narcissist, and him not wishing to show vulnerability should have been my queue to leave.
There are probably many more... I'd have to think about it, haha.
