I prefer to split the bill not only because it’s fair, but more so because I encountered enough guys who think women owe them anything if they paid. No thank you, I’d rather pay half and be safe. Having that said, I don’t recall having to pay, maybe for coffee or so. I guess I haven’t encountered a Spencer yet. But the fact that the guy starter calculating the PERCENTAGE of the bill and how much each of you owed… Huh? I’m a banker, and trust me: I don’t want to be involved into this math lesson outside of work. Nope. It would be a turn-off for me too. I’d rather fully pay eh bill MYSELF than have to go into such details. It’s crazy! What happens after? Would Spencer ask you to share the cost of condoms too? And then he’ll demand to split the pride of a movie ticket according to your salaries? Jesus. I actually had a friend or two like that, and I chose to pay for everything without having to endure the money conversations with them. We’re not on the same wavelength if paying for something small is an issue.
