I understand the frustration of the commentators, but this is a great example of why everyone should always do a research, and how important the legal & business sides of things are.

I never owned an entire 1% of a company, but I bought a little bit of stock. Never in my life I thought it’s preferred stock, because… why? But I had a middle-level job, not a VP position. We had an orientation regarding benefits, which included investing in stock. All companies should be transparent with their employees.
