I’m currently trying to convince the HR in my company to allow using pronouns in our emails. Not only it’s respectful, but it’s almost necessary with so many people working from home and not knowing the genders of people we are in contact with. I understand it’s not my issue to bring up as a cisgender woman, but there is an actual NEED of this in the workplace. Calling everyone “they/them” is a good idea too - I would be glad is someone addressed me that way, or if we had to call everyone that. I’m here to listen and to hear what transgender and non-cisgender people have to say, as well as to implement changes which will make their lives better. Thank you for sharing this.
