I’m so terribly sorry to hear about your mom. I hope she got to spend as much time as possible with you though; I bet you were the best thing that ever happened to her. And yes, you’re absolutely right about the control and “keeping in line”. All while being controlled, women also worked 3-4 times more than men, but at home as opposed to in the office.
