I’m sorry for saying this, but that’s toxic masculinity. I have encountered a bunch of men who thought that treating me badly and channelling the bad guy / alpha male vibe would get me interested. Instead, I was disgusted. Also, putting up walls and not letting yourself love someone because you’re afraid she will hurt you is the saddest thing ever.
