That's true. I think women are the same way. However, as someone who comes from a second-world country that's currently at war (which translates into an economy that's in complete shambles), I can attest to people from poorer countries being much, MUCH more superficial. Just like in North American societies, there are a lot of people who don't have enough money yet have to show off so that others don't think they're poor. I have known people in Eastern Europe who would almost stave to afford semi-pricey items. Because it's considered shameful to not look well-off or admit not having money, even if you're nearly homeless.

So, what you said is totally correct. We all want to be with good people and get along with them. But in order to avoid shallow and superficial folks, I'd say stay away from poorer countries, lol.
