This is a beautiful story, but I feel like you deserve much more... A man who would show his interest right away and do everything he can to be with you...

After the gentleman from your story kissed you for the 1st time, it seemed cowardly of him to go silent for a while. It also wasn't okay that he made zero effort to make it work with you. After someone cancels on you when you're already waiting for them, you should be mad, not excited to see them! Because it's not nice.

You seem like a very kind and empathetic person, and you certainly deserve to be happy. Someone who is truly interested and values you, will start acting quickly and put a lot of effort into security your and their future. I'm sorry, but while the guy from this story is interesting, he seemed to give you crumbs, when you, in fact, deserve a loaf of freshly baked bread (sorry for a tacky metaphore).
