This was an amazing read. As someone who was born and raised in Kyiv, "the centre of the Kievan Rus’ empire" as you said, I can confirm that a good chunk of Ukrainian history is dedicated to the Mongol Empire. But of course, right now I wish we could go back in time and erase the creation of the Duchy of Moscow.
