Very true. I believe that one spouse doesn't necessarily need to "match" the other spouse's earnings, as I believe people should live under their means and not give into the lifestyle creep. The only instance when a woman can support the family on a low salary is when the home is owned outright, which is a big privilege, or when the expenses are super low due to low costs of living, which is also quite rare. Most people don't have this privilege.

The fact that some women turn down men with regular income and seek men with high income is, in my opinion, another huge problem. It's a separate issue though.
