Where did you hear that? The prices in Russian stores are higher than ever, even the basic items are more expensive. Many foreign products will no longer be exported to Russia, and that includes those crucial to the Russian manufacturing. The major Russian tank manufacturer, so crucial during the war as Russia needs more tanks, closed their production because they ran out of parts. Russian car manufacturers cannot produce cars without foreign parts - they are okay for now, but they'll run out soon. Hundreds of foreign companies left Russia, including super popular ones. Some companies started defaulting. The bank cards don't work anymore, and the country doesn't have enough ATMs to allow people withdraw cash in a timely manner. And even microchips will no longer be shipped to Russia, which means Russian people won't be able to buy items as simple as hair drier or a microwave.
You cannot see the deficit as much yet, because Russia has old stock. Once that runs out, regular people are screwed. Russian economy is risking a default, which may not happen right away, but considering the horrific crimes committed, many countries may extend sanctions post-war. And I'm not even going to mention all the cultural and educational international programs and competitions that Russians have been banned from.
