Yessss, this is the continuation of this trend. But again, I feel like women have been talking about men doing their part for decades if not centuries.

He is. :) You know what, his father was actually a sociopath who was (mildly but still) emotionally manipulative and not a good person. His mom was nice but not strong enough to leave his dad. Overall, it wasn't as bad, but I would have never given such a man a time of day, and I would have left even if I had kids. So, I'd say my dad has a semi-okay family but not the best one.

And you are absolutely correct regarding the partner search, haha. I look for what truly matters and don't give men who don't seem like good partner and potentially good fathers a chance. One of the reasons I'm single is because I have a great dad and high expectations (not financially but morally).
