You are very correct. I don't like the endless supply of options, especially since it actually doesn't exist. Being able to swipe through hundreds and thousands of people doesn't mean you actually have a choice to make, as most of those connections wouldn't work out. Also, this creates a false feeling of having a selection among the best of the best, while most people would never have the guts to approach such people in real life - or anyone at all.
