You’re viewing intimacy in just one way, as something that leads to a relationship. I’m sorry but this is the viewpoint that has caused so many issues and judgements over the years. Sex isn’t just what people who are in love, in committed relationships or marriages do and should do. It’s something everyone should be able to have without being terrified of being forced to give birth and then raise a child they didn’t want (because let’s be real, almost no one will give up a baby for adoption after giving birth despite that being an option). Yes, we need more accountability and responsibility when people decide to be intimate, meaning proper sex education. But it’s something everyone should be able to do even in a casual manner. Nowadays, I meet even more women than men who don’t want to be in relationships and especially don’t want to get married. There are plenty childfree people. And most importantly, no one should be forced to have a child they don’t want to have.
